Tonight round 2 of the playoffs begins. The HabsWorld writers examine the first two series, and provide their predictions.

It wasn’t the end many fans hoped for or expected but the postseason came to a premature end for the Habs this past week.

Despite the excitement surrounding the playoffs, Habsworld’s readers were able to take the time to vote for April’s 3 Stars. Unlike other months, there wasn’t a wide variety of votes and only a few different Canadiens received nominations.

Thursday night’s Game 5 was do or die for the Habs as their season hung in the balance.

After that beating in the nations’ capital on Sunday night, this was a must-win, pull up your socks statement game for the Montreal Canadiens.

It may not have been thought of as a rivalry before but through three games of the quarterfinals, Montreal and Ottawa are engaged in quite the series with Senators having the upper hand having won two of three.

With the series tied 1-1, the Montreal Canadiens travelled to Ottawa for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

After last night’s emotional game, the Canadiens were faced with a must-win scenario.
