A trip out to Western Canada wasn’t the elixir the Rocket needed to end its losing streak as Laval dropped a pair of games to Abbotsford, extending their season-long slide to seven straight.

After nearly pulling off a comeback victory against Detroit, the Habs looked to get back in the win column on Monday against Seattle. This time, they got the early lead and nearly blew it but held on for the 4-2 victory.

The past week was a bit of a mixed bag for the Habs who picked up a road win to end their trip on a high note before suffering a pair of losses, one ugly and the other on the heels of an impressive comeback.

The news is in for Alex Newhook’s lower-body injury and it’s not ideal as the team announced Saturday that the winger will miss the next 10-12 weeks with a high ankle sprain.

After a pretty good start to the season in October, the Habs came back down a bit but still had some players shine more than others.  Who were their top performers?  Vote now for the monthly three stars.

Montreal’s road trip came to an end on Wednesday as they were in Columbus to face the Blue Jackets. They were able to overcome a very sloppy start, setting the stage for a late game-winner in a 4-2 victory.

The Habs had their California portion of the schedule this past week, a stretch that typically causes them some difficulty. While it certainly didn’t end well, they still came out of that portion of the road trip with a pair of victories.

The Habs looked to make it a clean California sweep on Saturday as they took on Los Angeles. Instead, they put forth one of their ugliest efforts of the season, falling 4-0.
