A busy week for the Habs continued on Wednesday as the Canadiens announced that they’ve signed defenceman Kaiden Guhle to a six-year contract extension.  The deal, which kicks in for the 2025-26 campaign, will carry a cap hit of $5.55 million.  

The Canadiens elected to get their remaining contracts out of the way on Tuesday.  A few hours after re-signing Arber Xhekaj, the team announced that they inked Justin Barron to a two-year, $2.3 million contract.

Coming off a tough season, the 2024-25 campaign will have an even tougher start for Rafael Harvey-Pinard as the Canadiens announced on Friday that the winger has undergone successful leg surgery.
