The Habs have shown some flashes of upside at times this season but they’ve also shown a lot of the potential pitfalls of this roster. Nearing the one-quarter mark of the year, we’ve seen more of the latter than the former.
Over the last couple of weeks, the Habs have shown some improvement in the defensive zone. That continued on Monday as some strong defending helped lead Montreal to a 3-0 win over Edmonton.

The Habs finally got themselves back into the win column with a pair of victories sandwiching the seemingly annual loss in Minnesota. However, it certainly feels like something needs to change with backup goaltender Cayden Primeau.
