Habs Drop First Preseason Game to Devils

The Habs showed all sorts of positive signs as a very youthful roster skated in their first preseason contest on Monday. Despite those, they also showed that seasoning is required and they were unable to keep it together for the entire game. In the end, they dropped a hard-fought 2-1 contest that was quite entertaining.

Generally, the exhibition season is one to passively keep an eye on. Maybe there’s a prospect or two to get a look at and a battle or two to watch for but all in all, it’s not worth getting excited about. And yet, I’m actually looking forward to these next couple of weeks.
