The Habs kept pace early on against Vegas on Saturday night but the Golden Knights gained more control as the game went along, eventually skating away with the 6-2 victory.
To say it has been a rough start to the season for Evgenii Dadonov would be an understatement. Even so, while he’s a popular option to simply waive and part ways with when he’s cleared to return, I don’t think the Habs should be doing that just yet.

After a big comeback win in St. Louis on Saturday, the Habs were back in action on Tuesday in Minnesota. They started off strong but a tough second period was something they couldn’t overcome as they fell 4-1.
After some struggles on the road to start the season, the Habs certainly kicked off their four-game road trip on a high note with a pair of victories and are now over .500, a mark that probably not many expected them to be at three weeks into the season.
After picking up a win on Thursday in Buffalo, the Habs looked to make it two wins in a row on Saturday in St. Louis. The offence came to life, scoring six times in the second half, allowing Montreal to skate away with a 7-4 victory.
Carey Price did everything he could to bring the Stanley Cup back to Montreal in his 15-year career. If the curtain has dropped on his illustrious career, he can hold his head high knowing he gave the city of Montreal a championship personality to cheer for.
Samuel Montembeault was in fine form on Thursday night as the Habs kicked off a four-game road trip in Buffalo and skated away with a 3-2 victory that also featured Kaiden Guhle’s first career NHL goal.
