Keith Kinkaid hasn’t had the strongest of starts to his season and the Habs have decided it’s time for someone else to get a chance for now.  He cleared waivers on Tuesday and has been assigned to Laval.

The Canadiens were looking get back in the win column as they visited TD Garden in Boston on Sunday. After seven straight losses, Montreal came into the game with something to prove.  It was a solid first forty minutes for the Habs but a lack of execution in the third gave the Bruins a 3-1 win.

The Canadiens were looking to right the ship and snap an ugly six-game losing streak when they battled the Flyers in a matinee affair. The Habs were the better team for most of the game but a lack of timely scoring cost them the game, as they lost 4-3 in OT to extend the losing streak to 7.

The Habs had surprisingly few troubles scoring goals through the first quarter of the seasons which has resulted in some high grades for their forwards.

For the most part, the Habs were the better team on Thursday. However, when they broke down defensively, it was simply atrocious and the scoring chances given up were too dangerous and too numerous as the Devils skated away with a 6-4 win.

Despite a solid first period, the Habs and Carey Price were unable to focus on the defensive side of the puck. Against a team of the Bruins’ calibre, they paid the price as Boston exploited this lack of discipline to the tune of an 8-1 final score on Tuesday night.

The Habs had a chance to bank some much-needed points in the standings against a trio of non-playoff teams. However, they failed to take advantage of the weaker schedule as they only managed a single point while ending the week on a low note.

Fresh off a disappointing loss to Ottawa, the Habs were looking to get back in the win column as they hosted the Rangers on Saturday night. They got off to a blistering start before collapsing terribly, blowing a four-goal lead to lose 6-5.
