It was a shock to some but expected to others – Sergei Kostitsyn was the lone demotion following the Canadiens’ last preseason game on Saturday.
It’s arguably the best thing to watch at training camp: the young and hungry players battling each other for the few remaining roster spots.
Training camp looms near, and we can finally all focus on hockey being played instead of salaries and trade rumours (well… we can also focus on hockey being played.)
There is currently a riddle on the Montreal blue line, “What do you call six core defensemen that are all left-handed?”
“With the 18th pick, the Montreal Canadiens are proud to select… no one of consequence.” – historically speaking, that is.
For those of you still stuck on stage 2 of the 7 Stages of Grief; denial; let me help you move on by saying that no, games can’t be redone because of a blown offside call.
Well… thanks for coming out! Only twice in the NHL has a team come back from a 3-0 series deficit to win.
This could have been the game Montreal needed to win while the opportunity presented itself.
Could it be any other way? Bruins vs. Canadiens in Round 1!
