The Habs wrapped up their six-game road trip on a high note on Saturday night. On the back half of a back-to-back set, they got a strong performance from Jakub Dobes to help lead the Canadiens to a 2-1 shootout win.

After Friday’s game in Detroit was a close one, Saturday’s rematch wasn’t as tightly contested. The Habs scored five times in the first two periods and were in control from there, beating the Red Wings 5-1.

Cole Caufield had a pair of goals on Saturday night including one late in the third to force extra time against the Islanders. However, it was New York who came away in the marathon shootout, resulting in their 4-3 victory.
