Montreal was able to muster up a better effort on Saturday than they had the previous two games, particularly in the defensive zone. However, they were only able to manage a single goal, resulting in them falling 3-1 to the Penguins.
The Habs got off to a much better start on Saturday night against St. Louis and while they lost the lead in the second, they were able to rebound, scoring three unanswered to pick up the 5-2 victory.
Cole Caufield had a pair of goals on Saturday night including one late in the third to force extra time against the Islanders. However, it was New York who came away in the marathon shootout, resulting in their 4-3 victory.

The Habs were able to keep pace with Carolina for most of the game on Saturday. However, they weren’t able to solve Pyotr Kochetkov which allowed the Hurricanes to pick up the 3-0 victory.
The Habs didn’t have their best on Sunday in Seattle but they were able to still jump out to a 4-0 lead in the opening period and held on from there, picking up a 5-1 win over the Kraken.
