It wasn’t a great start to the season for the Habs through the first quarter and as a result, there aren’t many top marks as we wrap up our report cards with a look at the forwards.

The Canadiens have a plethora of players with some NHL potential in the minors. Unfortunately, most of the prospect pool in the minors, with the possible exceptions of Charles Hudon and Nikita Scherbak, lack high end offensive ability. With the 9th pick, the Canadiens might have the opportunity to remedy that lack with Tyson Jost.
The Habs finished off the first quarter of the season atop the NHL in goals scored. Not surprisingly, there are plenty of positive grades for their forwards.
