The Canadiens earned a valuable two points after only starting to play hockey in the second period. They came back to win the game in a shootout after trailing by two goals early in the first period.

The Canadiens called up two players before Friday night’s contest in Ottawa, Andreas Engqvist and Ryan White, to replace Mike Cammalleri and Jeff Halpern who were both injured Tuesday in Buffalo.

Tuesday’s game between division rivals Montreal and Buffalo definitely had a playoff atmosphere and was dominated by some outstanding goaltending.
