The 12th overall pick of the Canadiens in the 07 NHL entry draft was no

different then the current trend of drafting defensemen, and they were

proud to select Minnesota’s own, “Mr. Hockey” Ryan McDonagh.

The NHL draft will be held on June 22 and 23 in Columbus, Ohio, with the Canadiens holding two first round picks thanks to a late season trade involving Craig Rivet going to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for their first round pick.

It wasn’t pretty at times, but there is no other way to learn and correct what is wrong with the team on and off the ice.

The Canadiens are only 13 games into the 06/07 season and yet the feel is somewhat familiar to last season’s fast start with both versions of the Canadiens having 17 points in their first 12 games (8-3-1 in 05/06 vs. 7-2-3 in 06/07).

There are many prognosticators for the final standings within the NHL ranks but by and large the biggest overall disappointment for the 06/07 season was The Score.

Now that the off-season is upon us, we can look forward to sunny days, time at the beach, BBQ’s, and we don’t have to worry about our favorite teams until training camp right?
