Habs Thumped by Hurricanes

Thursday was just one of those games where the Habs had absolutely no answer for the juggernaut that was the Carolina Hurricanes as they fell 4-0. Good thing Jake Allen was stellar, otherwise the score would have been much uglier.

Habs Lose Sloppy Affair to Devils

In a game that was filled with intensity, good intention, and terrible execution on Sunday night, the Habs were true to the team they’ve gotten us used to of late. They relied on timely saves from their netminder, some bad defensive coverage, and a never-say-die attitude that allowed them to tie the game in the final moments before finally falling to the Devils 3-2 in a shootout.

Habs Lose to Panthers, Allen Keeps it Close

The Habs saw what a top team in the league looks like on Thursday night. They were dominated by the Panthers for most of the game, but an excellent performance by Jake Allen kept the game a little closer than it likely should have been as Montreal eventually lost but only by a 4-3 margin.

Habs Lose Overtime Thriller to Stars

In a game that was wildly entertaining on Thursday, the Habs welcomed back some veterans as Jake Allen and Christian Dvorak returned to the lineup. They briefly had the lead but ultimately came away with yet another overtime loss in this game that featured many momentum swings and an overall fun pace as Dallas skated away with the 4-3 win.

Habs Beat Flyers in Sloppy Affair

Sunday’s game in Philadelphia was sloppy as both teams had played the night before and it showed as execution was sorely lacking on both sides. The Flyers took three different leads but the Habs just wouldn’t die. Finally, they scored in the final minute which led to an overtime rocket from Caufield that saw the Montreal skate away with a 4-3 victory.

Win Streak At Four After Win Against Sabres

Nick Suzuki looked like a man amongst boys on Wednesday as he led the team with three points while often taking away all momentum Buffalo tried to create with smart play after smart play all night long as the Habs picked up a 4-0 victory, giving Samuel Montembeault his first career shutout.
