After a terrible first half of the week, the Habs were looking get back on the right track against the Penguins on Friday night. After an even first period, the Penguins took over the game in the second. The Habs didn’t find a way to put a comeback together in the third and lost their third straight, falling 4-1.
The Montreal Canadiens found themselves in their most important game of the season in a classic Saturday night matchup against Toronto. Marco Scandella tied the game late and Ilya Kovalchuk sent the Bell Centre crowd home happy with the OT winner as the Habs took it 2-1.

The Habs were looking to win back-to-back games for the first time in nearly a month as they took on Calgary on Monday night. While they only managed a pair of goals, it was enough as Carey Price had his second straight strong start in a 2-0 victory.
The Habs were in Ottawa on Saturday night to take on the Senators in a battle of two teams mired in long losing streaks. Despite another blown lead in the third period, Ilya Kovalchuk’s first goal in a Montreal uniform gave them the winner in overtime as they took it 2-1.
