With the strong start to the 2007-08 campaign, there are no shortage of items to discuss when it comes to the Montreal Canadiens.
After last week’s impressive offensive display, it was surprising to see a lack of timely scoring do the Habs in this week.
This past week, the Habs showed they could score with the best of the NHL, popping 16 goals in 3 games en route to an unbeaten week.
This past week, the Habs got the short end of the stick in the luck department, but still managed to garner 3 of a possible 6 points.
This week, the Habs split a pair of games, beating the Penguins in Carey Price’s NHL debut before the Hurricanes got their revenge in Montreal’s home opener.
I think I speak for most fans when I say finally, October is here as the season is underway, with the Habs getting off to a fairly strong start.
With training camp now a little over half done, there are some interesting stories emerging – can Carey Price be the starter, who’s the odd man out on defence, what, if any rookies will make the club, and so on.
One of the fun things to do during training camp and the offseason is to talk about the future – what prospects could make the team next season or down the road?
