Saturday night’s Game 5 will be the second do or die situation for both the Montreal Canadiens and the Philadelphia Flyers, both teams having won their first.
It may not be the perfect time to have a shaky stretch, but the Habs managed to survive a first round scare vs Boston, and split a pair with their second round opponent in Philadelphia.
Two weeks ago, hardly anyone would have seen this coming, but the Habs now find themselves in a win or go home situation on Monday night.
There were some bumps along the way, but the Habs managed to win 2 of 3 this week against the Bruins and have the 2-1 series lead going into Tuesday’s Game 4.
To say “Mission Accomplished” may be an understatement for the Habs, as they now head into the playoffs as the Eastern Conference’s top seed.
