The HabsWorld podcast crew was mixing it up to discuss recent Canadiens events. Host Norm Szcyrek, with cohosts Paul MacLeod, Sean Cayouette and Jonathan Rebelo had a lot to say about the Habs, share other hockey news and have some laughs. – Patrik Laine returns to the lineup and has an immediate impact. His role on the team and the second line was analyzed.

– The struggles of Kirby Dach, and could he be traded?

– Lane Hutson broke a Habs record for rookie assists in consecutive games. Can he continue the streak to break the same NHL record?

– Justin Barron is failing as a defenceman, but could he be better utilized as a forward, or traded?

– Discussions of trading other upcoming Canadiens’ UFA players, since there were two Vegas scouts in Montreal for the December 5th game.

– Luke Richardson was fired as Chicago’s head coach recently. Given his past role as a Habs assistant coach, the potential for Richardson to return to Montreal was debated.

– Habs prospect news involving Cedrick Guindon, Jacob Fowler, Sam Harris, Ivan Demidov.

– Pierre LeBrun’s article in The Athletic about Marc Bergevin was debated.

Jonathan floats the idea of Montreal signing Andrei Markov to play ten more games to reach 1000 games as a Hab.

– Speculations for a trade to Montreal to get Ryan O’Reilly.

– Around the NHL: The NHL recently settled a lawsuit with around 100 former players regarding their concussion litigation. A touching story shared by former Hab Douglas Murray and former NHL player/current hockey podcaster Paul Bissonette got into a fight in a Phoenix restaurant coming to the help of the manager.
