It was a successful week for the Habs who picked up three wins out of their four games, two of which involved multi-goal comebacks. For the time being at least, they’re a top-ten team in the NHL.

It took another multi-goal comeback but the Habs were able to pick up their fourth win in the last five games on Saturday night, skating away with a 4-3 shootout victory over Winnipeg.

Montreal got off to a slow start on Thursday night against Columbus but they were able to bounce back in the second half of the game, eventually forcing overtime where Cole Caufield potted the winner in a 4-3 victory.

On the back half of a back-to-back set, the Habs came out relatively strong on Tuesday night against New Jersey but faded as the game went on, allowing the Devils to pick up the 5-2 victory.

David Savard had quite the penalty kill shift in the third period on Monday night against Buffalo with multiple blocked shots despite losing his skate blade partway through.  However, he also suffered a fractured hand in the sequence and is now out for six to eight weeks.

After beating Washington on Saturday night, the Habs looked to make it two straight wins as they travelled to Buffalo to take on the Sabres on Monday. This time, they took advantage of a third-period power play, allowing them to skate away with the 3-1 win.

It was another light week on the schedule for the Habs who played just twice. The first was one they’d like to forget while the second saw them blow another late lead but they still managed to pick up the win.
