The Habs had a relatively successful month of October, playing well enough to find themselves in a playoff spot with a handful of players getting off to good starts. Not surprisingly, the fan vote for our three stars was pretty close. Here are the results.
After a Western road trip yielded little success, the Habs were looking to turn things around as they returned home to host Tampa Bay on Tuesday night. However, they couldn’t overcome a disastrous first period, ultimately falling 5-3.
A return home after a tough road trip didn’t do much to change Laval’s fortunes. While they did pick up an impressive comeback victory, they didn’t muster up much in their other two games, both multi-goal losses.
As is often the case, Montreal’s road trip out West wasn’t the most successful in the standings. While they had one of their best outings of the season in Vegas, that was the only point they were able to muster up.
The Habs welcomed back Christian Dvorak to the lineup on Saturday night in St. Louis but they were out-skated and out-hustled by a Blues team that was playing their third game in four nights, falling by a 6-3 score.
October was a pretty good month for the Habs and the same can be said for several of their prospects who are off to good starts to their seasons. Montreal’s top prospect performers are highlighted in our three stars.

The third week of the season was one to forget for Laval. They had two road games and struggled both defensively and in goal for both of them. That’s not an ideal combination and the end result was two more losses.
