The Montreal Canadiens play host to the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins tonight. Last season, Montreal won 3 out of 4 matches against the Penguins, but Pittsburgh won the first game against the Habs this season, 3-1 in Pittsburgh. The Habs are still missing 7 regulars out of their lineup, however, coach Jacques Martin hinted that forward Andrei Kostitsyn may be ready to return tonight.

Sidney Crosby’s much awaited return to the lineup after a lengthy concussion, has him scoring at a torrid pace, with 2 goals and 5 assists in 3 games.

Put The Power Back In Play: The Habs have been struggling with the man advantage lately. In their last game against Philadelphia they were 0-5, but killed all 4 power plays against them.

Put The “Kid” In His Place: Even though the Penguins as a team have performed extremely well without Crosby, and at times Evgeni Malkin, this season, the Pittsburgh captain has to be the focus of the Habs defensive coverage. Look for Hal Gill and Josh Gorges, together or apart, to be on the ice every time Crosby is there.

Put Up A Home Win: Montreal holds a shaky 4-5-3 at the friendly Bell Centre confines so far this season. A successful, (hint) playoff bound team, needs to be better than .500 at home.
