HabsWorld.net --
Could it be that the only thing holding the Bulldogs back was the absence of Yann Danis? Probably not, but he was the difference this past week, as he started all 3 games for them, and won all 3, propelling the Bulldogs into 4th place in the division, finally out of the cellar.

Lineup Notes:
G Ty Conklin’s 2 week conditioning stint expired this past Sunday. He was recalled to Edmonton and subsequently placed on the IR. The Habs assigned G Yann Danis down this week to get some playing time, but he will likely be recalled this week, with Cristobal Huet being sent down for a conditioning period. Raitis Ivanans has rejoined the team after clearing NHL waivers. The Oilers have recalled D’s Dan Smith and Danny Syvret. To fill their lineup out, Hamilton recalled D James Sanford.
Cheers and Jeers of the Week:
Cheers go out to:
– D James Sanford, who notched a pair of assists in his first game with the Bulldogs after being recalled earlier in the week. For that matter, no one exactly knows why he wasn’t around in the first place.
– G Yann Danis…do we really need to explain?
Jeers go out to:
– D’s Johnathan Aitken and Jeff Paul…the pair were brought in to stabilize a young and weak defence corps. Instead, they have combined for 1 point in 17 games, with a +1 rating. Both have also been healthy scratches on at least 6 different occasions.
– RW Andrei Kostitsyn, yes, he’s producing more, but the -9 rating (team worst) has more than a few fans getting a little worried.
Goalie Zone:
This week, another “newcomer” stole the show, with Yann Danis playing in all 3 games, winning them all, and earning 1st star in his season debut.
