HabsWorld.net --

Jan Bulis suffered a foot injury in Sunday’s practice, and the extent of the injury is not yet known. According to RDS, the premier sports station in Quebec, the Czech winger’s right foot is the area of concern.

It is unknown whether the speedy Bulis will be in the lineup for Montreal’s Tuesday night affair with the Tampa Bay Lightning. His prescence would be greatly missed against the strong Lightning squad. Bulis, who has developed into the Habs’ top notch defensive winger, is a component that the Canadiens could sure use more of. His tenacious forechecking, smooth skating, and hard working style make him as valuable to his team as anyone else.

So far this season, Bulis has registered four goals and six points in 24 games. The 6’1″, 209 pound winger has spent the majority of the year facing the opposition’s top lines alongside Joe Juneau and Andreas Dackell. Bulis’ average ice time of 16:33 ranks him tenth on the Canadiens, and fourth in terms of forwards, behind just Richard Zednik, Saku Koivu, and Joe Juneau.

P.S. Jason Ward, who is recovering from a broken ankle, is about to resume skating… and hopes to be ready to return within a week or two.

Early reports suggest it is unlikely that Andrei Markov will be ready to return in time for the Tampa game, he missed the last game with a swollen ankle.

Later in the day, we now learn that Juneau has a hip injury… and is questionable for the Tampa game.
