Decent size, to go with a smooth skating stride, Shasby’s main assests are his puck moving abilities and offensive abilities. Has good speed, and can make a good first pass out of his zone. Is solid in his own end positionally speaking.
Weaknesses
Needs to add some size and strength against the bigger, faster, stronger professional hockey players. Also could use some improvement in his own end in reading plays and decision making.

HW Updates, by Dan Linn
January 2004 – Shasby is also in his first season of professional hockey, as he adjusts to the more physical ECHL, verus his days of playing in the NCAA. With the team struggling at the start of the season, Shasby had a tough time in his own end, but with the team finding much more success, he has been able to greatly improve his +/- as he has now worked his way back to even after being in the negative double digits.
October 2003 – Another first year professional, Shasby is fresh off playing 4 years in the NCAA, after spending some time in the USHL as well. Shasby has gotten off to a good start, as one of the teams top scorers. Hopefully he continues to play well if he is to be called up to Hamilton.
