Carey Price: The Future is Now

(2010-09-02 21:10) July 30th, 2005, the Sheraton Hotel, Ottawa, Ontario... For most people, that time and place signified one of the most important drafts in NHL history because it provided the opportunity for "the next one," Sidney Crosby, to find a home in the NHL; it also signaled a new era in the league: it was the post-lockout draft, and optimism was running high for the NHL's future. With a new CBA in place, and Crosby's fresh face serving as the new emblem of the league, there was good reason to expect a flourishing NHL in the not-too-distant future.
