(2011-09-25 12:44 posted by Matt Dilworth) The pre-season games continue this evening as the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens travel to the Halifax Metro Centre in Nova Scotia. The Canadiens have lost three of their four games thus far, with their only victory coming in a shootout against the Ottawa Senators. Ottawa won the rematch last night, rallying from a 2-0 deficit to earn the game-winning goal in the final minute of regulation play.
The Canadiens continue to give their prospects a good look, and will only dress a small component of veteran players tonight. The following is the reported roster for tonight:
Forwards:
- Archambault (#78)
- Avtsin (#36)
- Blunden (#45)
- Cole (#72)
- Darche (#52)
- Engqvist (#63)
- Gallagher (#73)
- Gomez (#11)
- Kostitsyn (#46)
- Masse (#80)
- Palushaj (#60)
- Wilsie (#56)
Defensemen:
- Beaulieu (#40)
- Ellis (#85)
- Gill (#75)
- Henry (#24)
- Weber (#68)
- Yemelin (#74)
Goaltenders:
- Budaj (#30)
- Mayer (#65)
Budaj is expected to play the full game tonight. Montreal's old and new nemeses, Zdeno Chara and Benoit Pouliot will play tonight, and not face the wrath of the Bell Centre crowd tomorrow night. The game begins at 6pm EST, and can be seen on RDS.
